Cr\u00e9er une batterie souple qui s\u2019int\u00e8gre sans g\u00eaner un v\u00eatement est une v\u00e9ritable gageure. L\u2019une des solutions consiste \u00e0 transformer le tissu lui-m\u00eame en lieu de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie en proc\u00e9dant \u00e0 divers traitements chimiques. Des chercheurs de l\u2019University of South Carolina ont transform\u00e9 la fibre de coton d\u2019un T-shirt achet\u00e9 dans le commerce de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;elle stocke une charge \u00e9lectrique.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Pour cela, Xiaodong Li et son \u00e9quipe ont fait tremper le tissu dans une solution de fluorure puis l\u2019ont fait cuire \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature en retirant l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne dans le four pour \u00e9viter que la mati\u00e8re ne s\u2019enflamme. De quoi donc envisager s\u00e9rieusement d\u2019utiliser ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 pour alimenter de l\u2019\u00e9lectronique souple ou pourquoi pas un appareil mobile comme une tablette ou un smartphone. Transformer le tissu en moyen de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie n\u2019est pas nouveau. Il y a un an et demi de cela, des chercheurs de la Stanford University avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 transform\u00e9 du tissu en batterie apr\u00e8s un traitement avec des nanotubes de carbone monofeuillets puis en d\u00e9posant des particules d&rsquo;oxyde de mangan\u00e8se.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Mais le professeur Li souligne que son avanc\u00e9e concerne le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de traitement du tissu pour obtenir du charbon activ\u00e9, qui est moins on\u00e9reux et moins nocif. \u00ab Les m\u00e9thodes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes utilisaient de l\u2019huile et des produits chimiques nocifs pour l\u2019environnement. Ces proc\u00e9d\u00e9s sont compliqu\u00e9s et produisent des effets secondaires. Notre m\u00e9thode n\u2019est pas ch\u00e8re et respectueuse de l\u2019environnement \u00bb, assure-t-il.
