Comme l&rsquo;explique Christine McKenzie, l&rsquo;une des scientifiques de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abCela pourrait \u00eatre pr\u00e9cieux pour les patients souffrant de maladies pulmonaires qui doivent transporter avec eux de lourdes bombonnes d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne. Mais aussi pour les plongeurs qui pourront peut-\u00eatre un jour laisser leurs bouteilles \u00e0 la maison et utiliser ce mat\u00e9riau pour respirer, puisqu&rsquo;il filtre et concentre l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne contenu dans l&rsquo;air et l&rsquo;eau qui l&rsquo;entourent.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&rsquo;autre avantage est que ce cristal d&rsquo;Aquaman est \u00e0 la fois l\u00e9ger et efficace: il suffit d&#8217;emporter quelques grains de ce dernier pour permettre \u00e0 un plongeur de prendre une seule respiration, comme le rapporte le site Mic.
