Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des sortes de cerfs-volants, des \u00e9oliennes futuristes pourraient produire plus d\u2019\u00e9nergie avec moins de ressources et moins de contraintes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cependant de nombreuses questions demeurent sur la mise en \u0153uvre pratique de solutions aussi radicales.<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Partant du principe que les vents d\u2019altitude sont plus r\u00e9guliers et plus forts que les vents de terre, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 californienne Joby Energy travaille \u00e0 un nouveau type d\u2019\u00e9olienne, l\u2019\u00e9olienne cerf-volant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">L\u2019objectif : g\u00e9n\u00e9rer plus d\u2019\u00e9nergie en utilisant moins de mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 la construction et en \u00e9vitant les contraintes habituelles des \u00e9oliennes terrestres et maritimes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La structure en question, encore \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de projet, devrait utiliser vingt fois moins de mat\u00e9riaux qu\u2019une \u00e9olienne classique. L\u2019appareil de forme allong\u00e9e est assez l\u00e9ger pour \u00eatre envoy\u00e9 dans les airs, \u00e0 400 m\u00e8tres d\u2019altitude (contre 100 pour une \u00e9olienne terrestre).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">De petites turbines fonctionnent pour lancer l\u2019\u00e9olienne a\u00e9rienne de fa\u00e7on verticale. Lorsque les 400m sont atteints, le vent permet de d\u00e9placer l\u2019installation et le vent active les turbines. L\u2019\u00e9nergie g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e est alors transmise au sol par le biais du c\u00e2ble qui retient l\u2019\u00e9olienne cerf-volant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Des incertitudes demeurent<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Les \u00e9oliennes volantes, l\u00e9g\u00e8res et d\u00e9pla\u00e7ables \u00e0 volont\u00e9, seraient donc \u00e9galement plus rentables : pour une puissance nominale de 1 MW, l\u2019aile Makani M1 produirait en moyenne 600 kW contre moins de 400 kW pour une \u00e9olienne classique. Cependant, de nombreuses questions restent pos\u00e9es. Ces structures rigides flottant dans les airs \u00e0 plusieurs centaines de m\u00e8tres d\u2019altitude et d\u00e9crivant de longs mouvements circulaires au bout de leurs c\u00e2bles, ne seraient-elles pas un danger en cas de rupture ou de d\u00e9faillance m\u00e9canique ? Quels seraient les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts lors de la chute d\u2019une d\u2019entre elles ? De m\u00eame, qu\u2019en penseront les autorit\u00e9s de l\u2019aviation civile : les \u00e9oliennes volantes ne seront-elles pas un danger suppl\u00e9mentaire pour les avions de tourisme qui volent beaucoup plus bas que les avions commerciaux ?
