Onze ans apr\u00e8s son lancement dans l&rsquo;espace, la sonde Messenger de la NASA, devrait s&rsquo;\u00e9craser ce 30 avril 2015\u00a0sur Mercure. Rentr\u00e9e en orbite le 17 mars 2011, Messenger (MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry, and Ranging) devait initialement rester un an autour de la plan\u00e8te. Finalement la mission a \u00e9t\u00e9 prolong\u00e9e jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 quatre ans mais elle s&rsquo;ach\u00e8ve d\u00e9sormais, la sonde \u00e9tant \u00e0 court de carburant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durant cette p\u00e9riode, Messenger a pris environ 250.000 images de Mercure, la plus petite plan\u00e8te de notre syst\u00e8me et la plus proche du Soleil. La NASA en a publi\u00e9 quelques-unes, dont certaines en couleur. Ces couleurs ne correspondent pas \u00e0 ce que verrait l\u2019\u0153il humain mais \u00e0 une palette \u00e9tablie par l&rsquo;agence gouvernementale pour distinguer les diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments pr\u00e9sents sur la plan\u00e8te.
