Car d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s les scientifiques, \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e0 o\u00f9 une autre esp\u00e8ce vivante aurait succomb\u00e9, le champignon assimile le polluant et le transforme en un autre compos\u00e9 non nocif. Et le milieu s&rsquo;en trouve assaini\u00a0\u00bb. Cette d\u00e9couverte permettrait de purger les sols des nombreuses substances d&rsquo;origine industrielle, suite aux quelques d\u00e9cennies d&rsquo;agriculture intensive dans notre pays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">L&rsquo;id\u00e9e a germ\u00e9 lors de la rencontre de deux chercheurs. Philippe Silar explique \u00e0 son confr\u00e8re Jean-Marie Dupret \u00e0 quel point les champignons repr\u00e9sentent un incroyable r\u00e9servoir d&rsquo;enzymes aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e9tonnantes. Les scientifiques d\u00e9cident alors de tester la r\u00e9sistance de plusieurs esp\u00e8ces de moisissures \u00e0 une classe majeure de polluants, les amines aromatiques. Deux d&rsquo;entre elles survivent, ce qui signifie que ces champignons poss\u00e8dent les enzymes leur permettant de mettre hors d&rsquo;\u00e9tat de nuire ces compos\u00e9s aromatiques. Et les mettent \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve d&rsquo;un d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de pesticide trouv\u00e9 dans certaines terres agricoles, la 3,4-dichloroaniline (3,4-DCA). Lors de ces tests r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en milieu liquide, environ 45 % du polluant est d\u00e9grad\u00e9e par la souche normale de Podospora anserina au bout de trois jours, contre seulement 5 % par la souche mut\u00e9e du champignon ! \u00ab Ces r\u00e9sultats sans ambig\u00fcit\u00e9 prouvent que la voie enzymatique de PaNAT2 est bien impliqu\u00e9e dans la capacit\u00e9 de ce champignon \u00e0 se nourrir de certaines mol\u00e9cules aromatiques \u00bb assure Jean-Marie Dupret.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Mais avant d&rsquo;imaginer des tests sur un champ entier, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de chercheurs doit encore \u00e9claircir quelques points : comment produire ce champignon en grande quantit\u00e9 ? Est-il pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable de l&rsquo;enfouir ou suffit-il de le d\u00e9poser \u00e0 la surface de la terre ?
