Premi\u00e8rement, cette nouvelle technologie permettrait de r\u00e9duire de 90% la quantit\u00e9 de d\u00e9chets produits avec les technologies actuelles. De plus, certains m\u00e9taux lourds utilis\u00e9s comme l\u2019indium sont rares et difficiles \u00e0 exploiter. Cons\u00e9quemment, le fait de r\u00e9duire sensiblement la quantit\u00e9 de d\u00e9chets produits r\u00e9duirait sensiblement les co\u00fbts de production.
