Le satellite europ\u00e9en Cryosat sera lanc\u00e9 le 8 octobre prochain pour observer la cryosph\u00e8re. Il doit \u00e9tudier les variations des glaces polaires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"txt_n1\">Le CNES participe \u00e0 cette mission de l\u2019Esa en fournissant l\u2019instrument Doris de localisation du satellite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Les glaces sous surveillance<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.laterredufutur.com\/spaw\/images\/banquise2.jpg?resize=200%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" align=\"left\" \/>Vue d&rsquo;artiste du satellite Cryosat ; cr\u00e9dits Esa\/P.Carril<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">D\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans le cadre du programme d\u2019observation de la Terre de l\u2019Esa, la mission Cryosat doit observer les r\u00e9gions polaires.<\/p>\n<p>Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une mission altim\u00e9trique enti\u00e8rement destin\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude des variations d&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur de la banquise et des calottes glaci\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Pendant 3 ans, Cryosat \u00e9tudiera la hauteur et l\u2019\u00e9paisseur des glaces. L&rsquo;objectif : mieux comprendre les interactions complexes qui s&rsquo;op\u00e8rent entre oc\u00e9an, cryosph\u00e8re et atmosph\u00e8re, en particulier les transferts de chaleur des mouvements oc\u00e9aniques.<br \/>\nCes mesures permettront aussi d\u2019anticiper la fonte des glaciers dans la pr<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.laterredufutur.com\/spaw\/images\/banquise3.jpg?resize=200%2C137\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"137\" align=\"left\" \/>obl\u00e9matique du r\u00e9chauffement climatique.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Cryosat surveille la banquise et les calottes glaci\u00e8res ; cr\u00e9dits CNES<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Cryosat sera mis en orbite en octobre prochain par le lanceur russe Rockot depuis le centre spatial de Plessetsk en Russie. Il sera plac\u00e9 sur une orbite polaire \u00e0 717\u00a0km d&rsquo;altitude.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Doris, le g\u00e9om\u00e9tre de l\u2019espace<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Parmi les 4 instruments embarqu\u00e9s sur Cryosat, le CNES fournit l\u2019instrument Doris<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p><div class=\"1665f18d14f35dd9e7566e1a8ac9a3e9\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2860849627502538\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"3019501113\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>Ce syst\u00e8me permet de d\u00e9terminer au cm pr\u00e8s l\u2019orbite d\u2019un satellite \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un r\u00e9seau de stations terrestres, utilis\u00e9es comme points de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence sur Terre.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.laterredufutur.com\/spaw\/images\/banquise4.jpg?resize=133%2C200\" alt=\"\" width=\"133\" height=\"200\" align=\"left\" \/>Le CNES met \u00e9galement \u00e0 disposition pour la mission le r\u00e9seau sol des 60 balises du dispositif, r\u00e9parties dans plus de 35 pays.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Antenne r\u00e9ceptrice de l&rsquo;instrument Doris ; cr\u00e9dits CNES<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Embarqu\u00e9 sur les satellites Spot, Topex-Pos\u00e9idon, Jason 1 et Envisat, Doris a su d\u00e9montrer depuis le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1990 sa fiabilit\u00e9 et am\u00e9liorer continuellement ses performances.
