Or, visiblement, il semblerait que ces derniers temps les choses avancent \u00e0 son sujet\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Un projet d\u00e9sormais act\u00e9<br \/>\nApr\u00e8s les mots, des actes. Le gouvernement espagnol vient en effet de d\u00e9signer en ce d\u00e9but d\u2019ann\u00e9e la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9valuer la concr\u00e9tisation du projet et de son co\u00fbt, actant de fait son envie de voir un jour prochain, autour de 2050, ce qui pourrait alors r\u00e9volutionner le transport, notamment en train, et les \u00e9changes entre les deux continents via le d\u00e9troit de Gibraltar. Un peu de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on que le tunnel sous la Manche, il y a quelques d\u00e9cennies maintenant, entre la France et le Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n<p>Une prouesse technique<br \/>\nIncontestablement, le tunnel envisag\u00e9 serait une prouesse technique sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent dans la r\u00e9gion. Selon les plans actuels, il s\u2019\u00e9tendrait sur une longueur totale de 38,5 kilom\u00e8tres, dont 28 kilom\u00e8tres passeraient sous la mer. Le projet, dont le d\u00e9but des travaux devrait se faire vers 2030, pr\u00e9voit la construction de deux tunnels ferroviaires parall\u00e8les, ainsi qu\u2019une galerie de service et de secours.<\/p>\n<p>Le trac\u00e9 relierait Malabata, pr\u00e8s de Tanger au Maroc, \u00e0 Punta Paloma en Espagne. Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 environ 100 m\u00e8tres de profondeur, il permettrait de traverser le d\u00e9troit en seulement 30 minutes. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs pour cela que les experts envisagent d\u2019int\u00e9grer des r\u00e9seaux de communication, de production d\u2019\u00e9nergie utilisant les courants du d\u00e9troit, et d\u2019interconnexion \u00e9lectrique entre les deux pays concern\u00e9s.
