De nouvelles recherches analysant leur \u00e9volution ont permis de d\u00e9couvrir la m\u00eame mutation chez des esp\u00e8ces de poissons qui ont \u00e9volu\u00e9 \u00e0 des \u00e9poques diff\u00e9rentes, parall\u00e8lement aux polluants d&rsquo;origine humaine qui contaminent les eaux profondes.<\/p>\n<p>Selon des chercheurs, les poissons qui survivent dans des environnements extr\u00eames en haute mer ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 la m\u00eame mutation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique bien qu&rsquo;ils aient \u00e9volu\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9ment et \u00e0 des \u00e9poques diff\u00e9rentes.<\/p>\n<p>Les scientifiques ont \u00e9galement trouv\u00e9 des produits chimiques industriels dans les poissons et dans le sol de la fosse des Mariannes, ce qui signifie que les polluants d&rsquo;origine humaine peuvent atteindre certains des environnements les plus profonds de la Terre.<\/p>\n<p>Les poissons d&rsquo;eau profonde ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des adaptations uniques pour survivre \u00e0 des pressions extr\u00eames, \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures basses et \u00e0 une obscurit\u00e9 presque totale. Les scientifiques ont d\u00e9couvert que les biph\u00e9nyles polychlor\u00e9s (PCB) &#8211; des produits chimiques nocifs utilis\u00e9s dans les \u00e9quipements et appareils \u00e9lectriques jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 leur interdiction dans les ann\u00e9es 1970 &#8211; contaminaient les tissus du foie de l&rsquo;escargot hadal.<\/p>\n<p>Des concentrations \u00e9lev\u00e9es de PCB et de polybromodiph\u00e9nyl\u00e9thers (PBDE), des produits chimiques ignifuges utilis\u00e9s dans les produits de consommation jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;ils perdent de leur popularit\u00e9 au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000, ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9es dans des carottes de s\u00e9diments extraites \u00e0 plus de 10 000 m\u00e8tres de profondeur dans la fosse des Mariannes.<\/p>\n<p>Des recherches ant\u00e9rieures ont \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence de polluants chimiques dans la fosse des Mariannes, ainsi que de microplastiques dans les eaux profondes.
