Une bizarrerie jamais vue parmi les exoplan\u00e8tes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">C\u2019est une pl\u00e9thore de mondes nouveaux et \u00e9tonnants que r\u00e9v\u00e8lent les astronomes depuis 1995, date de la d\u00e9couverte de la premi\u00e8re exoplan\u00e8te, ces plan\u00e8tes en orbite autour d\u2019autres \u00e9toiles que le Soleil. Plan\u00e8tes de glace, de diamant, de gaz dot\u00e9es ou non d\u2019un cocon, tout a \u00e9t\u00e9 envisag\u00e9 pour les 1819 corps c\u00e9lestes ainsi r\u00e9pertori\u00e9s selon le dernier recensement de mars 2015. Mais nul n\u2019avait encore imagin\u00e9 le cas de Kepler 7-b, dont on vante aujourd\u2019hui l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re\u2026 min\u00e9rale !<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">En effet, l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re de cette plan\u00e8te serait essentiellement faite d\u2019enstatite, un silicate de magn\u00e9sium \u2013 c\u2019est \u00e0 dire un min\u00e9ral compos\u00e9 de silicium, d\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne et de magn\u00e9sium (MgSiO3). L\u2019enstatite est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9sent sur Terre, aussi bien \u00e0 sa surface, dans les basaltes, qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la plan\u00e8te : le manteau est essentiellement fait de p\u00e9ridotite, une roche contenant de l\u2019enstatite. Les nuages de poussi\u00e8res et de gaz autour des \u00e9toiles en contiennent aussi : les m\u00e9t\u00e9orites qui se forment dans ces disques proto-plan\u00e9taires autour des \u00e9toiles, en renferment. Mais, \u00e0 la diff\u00e9rence de celle-ci, elles se trouvent tr\u00e8s proches de leur \u00e9toile, un peu comme si les g\u00e9antes gazeuses de notre syst\u00e8me solaire \u2013 Jupiter ou Saturne \u2013 se trouvaient \u00e0 la place de Mercure ou de Venus\u2026 De ce fait, \u00e0 la surface de Kepler 7-b r\u00e8gne une temp\u00e9rature de 1370\u00b0C environ (1700 Kelvins) tandis que la plan\u00e8te est tr\u00e8s peu dense : elle pr\u00e9sente la moiti\u00e9 de la masse de Jupiter mais une fois et demi son diam\u00e8tre. Celle-ci se trouverait sous forme de grains pr\u00e9sents dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re de ce \u00ab\u00a0Jupiter chaud\u00a0\u00bb. Les nuages eux-m\u00eames seraient form\u00e9s de ces m\u00eames particules, \u00e9vapor\u00e9es depuis la plan\u00e8te puis condens\u00e9es en altitude. En somme, un nouveau monde s\u2019offre \u00e0 nous o\u00f9 de sombres nuages faits de fragments de roche flottent sur une mer de gaz.
