Ces plan\u00e8tes telluriques de type Terre ou super Terre ont la particularit\u00e9 de se trouver dans la zone habitable de leur \u00e9toile. Le point commun de ces plan\u00e8tes est la m\u00e9thode de d\u00e9couverte appel\u00e9 Transit. Ces plan\u00e8tes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvertes fin janvier 2015 par la sonde Kepler. En voici le contenu et leurs caract\u00e9ristiques&#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">   <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Pour esp\u00e9rer d\u00e9couvrir des signes de vie dans l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re des exoplan\u00e8tes il faut d&rsquo;abord disposer d&rsquo;un \u00e9chantillon d&rsquo;exoterres. Le satellite Kepler de la Nasa vient de nous livrer 6 nouvelles candidates \u00e0 ce titre. Deux d&rsquo;entre elles, Kepler 443b et Kepler 442b, ont des rayons tr\u00e8s proches de celui de notre plan\u00e8te et sont situ\u00e9es dans la zone d&rsquo;habitabilit\u00e9. Elles constituent \u00e0 ce jour les astres connus les plus ressemblants \u00e0 la Terre.<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span vient ainsi de doubler le nombre de candidates connus au titre d\u2019exoterres. Reste \u00e0 savoir si ces petites nouvelles sont r\u00e9ellement habitables. Car il ne s&rsquo;agit que d&rsquo;une possibilit\u00e9. En effet, il ne suffit pas de montrer qu\u2019une plan\u00e8te se trouve dans l\u2019intervalle des distances \u00e0 son \u00e9toile h\u00f4te \u00a0qui conduit \u00e0 l\u2019existence de temp\u00e9ratures permettant \u00e0 l\u2019eau liquide d\u2019exister pour que la vie puisse s&rsquo;y d\u00e9velopper. La nature de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re qui entoure l\u2019exoplan\u00e8te peut aussi jouer un r\u00f4le crucial. Comme le dit Doug Caldwell, l\u2019un des chercheurs impliqu\u00e9s dans ces avanc\u00e9es r\u00e9centes et membre de l\u2019institut Seti : \u00ab avec chaque nouvelle d\u00e9couverte de ces petits mondes, probablement rocheux, notre confiance dans l\u2019estimation de la fr\u00e9quence de l\u2019existence de plan\u00e8tes semblables \u00e0 la Terre dans la Voie lact\u00e9e se renforce.
