Une partie de ce stockage se fera sous la forme de grandes installations de batteries, mais il y a une \u00e9norme p\u00e9nurie de lithium \u00e0 venir qui fera augmenter le prix des batteries \u00e0 base de lithium et rendra tr\u00e8s difficile pour les op\u00e9rations de type Tesla.<\/p>\n<p>La Chine a diversifi\u00e9 ses efforts et, cette semaine, elle a mis en service la plus grande batterie \u00e0 flux du monde, une batterie \u00e0 flux au vanadium de 100 MW et 400 MWh install\u00e9e \u00e0 Dailan, qui offre un stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie relativement peu co\u00fbteux sans utiliser de lithium. Mais selon Asia Times, la Chine pr\u00e9voit de s&rsquo;appuyer fortement sur le stockage de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie par air comprim\u00e9 (CAES), afin de g\u00e9rer pr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un quart de l&rsquo;ensemble du stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie du pays d&rsquo;ici 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s plusieurs ann\u00e9es de d\u00e9veloppement, l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie chinoise des sciences a connect\u00e9 au r\u00e9seau le premier syst\u00e8me CAES avanc\u00e9 de 100 MW au monde, pr\u00eat \u00e0 entrer en service commercial dans la ville de Zhangjiakou, dans le nord de la Chine. Selon la China Energy Storage Alliance, la nouvelle centrale peut stocker et lib\u00e9rer jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 400 MWh, avec une efficacit\u00e9 de 70,4 %.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est \u00e9norme ; les syst\u00e8mes \u00e0 air comprim\u00e9 actuels n&rsquo;ont qu&rsquo;un rendement de 40 \u00e0 52 %, et m\u00eame les deux grandes centrales CAES Hydrostor, dont l&rsquo;ouverture est pr\u00e9vue en Californie en 2026, n&rsquo;auraient qu&rsquo;un rendement de 60 %.<\/p>\n<p>Selon l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie chinoise des sciences, la centrale de Zhangjiakou est capable d&rsquo;alimenter le r\u00e9seau local avec plus de 132 GWh d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 par an, ce qui correspond \u00e0 la consommation de pointe de quelque 40 \u00e0 60 000 foyers.
