{"id":24447,"date":"2022-10-01T09:09:52","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T07:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.laterredufutur.com\/accueil\/?p=24447"},"modified":"2022-10-01T09:09:52","modified_gmt":"2022-10-01T07:09:52","slug":"locean-pacifique-va-faire-place-au-prochain-supercontinent-du-monde","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.laterredufutur.com\/accueil\/locean-pacifique-va-faire-place-au-prochain-supercontinent-du-monde\/","title":{"rendered":"L&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique va faire place au prochain supercontinent du monde"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"1665f18d14f35dd9e7566e1a8ac9a3e9\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2860849627502538\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"3019501113\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Une nouvelle recherche men\u00e9e par l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 Curtin a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que le prochain supercontinent du monde, Amasia, se formera tr\u00e8s probablement lors de la fermeture de l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique dans 200 \u00e0 300 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Publi\u00e9e dans National Science Review, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de recherche a utilis\u00e9 un superordinateur pour simuler la formation d&rsquo;un supercontinent et a constat\u00e9 que, comme la Terre se refroidit depuis des milliards d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, l&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur et la force des plaques sous les oc\u00e9ans diminuent avec le temps, ce qui rend difficile l&rsquo;assemblage du prochain supercontinent par la fermeture des oc\u00e9ans \u00ab\u00a0jeunes\u00a0\u00bb, comme l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Atlantique ou l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Indien.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;auteur principal, le Dr Chuan Huang, du groupe de recherche sur la dynamique de la Terre de Curtin et de l&rsquo;\u00e9cole des sciences de la Terre et des plan\u00e8tes, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que ces nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes \u00e9taient significatives et donnaient un aper\u00e7u de ce qui arriverait \u00e0 la Terre dans les 200 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Au cours des deux derniers milliards d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, les continents de la Terre sont entr\u00e9s en collision pour former un supercontinent tous les 600 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, ce que l&rsquo;on appelle le cycle des supercontinents. Cela signifie que les continents actuels sont appel\u00e9s \u00e0 se r\u00e9unir \u00e0 nouveau dans quelques centaines de millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Dr Huang.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le nouveau supercontinent qui en r\u00e9sultera a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 baptis\u00e9 Amasia car certains pensent que l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique se refermera (contrairement aux oc\u00e9ans Atlantique et Indien) lorsque l&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique entrera en collision avec l&rsquo;Asie. L&rsquo;Australie devrait \u00e9galement jouer un r\u00f4le dans cet important \u00e9v\u00e9nement terrestre, en entrant d&rsquo;abord en collision avec l&rsquo;Asie, puis en reliant l&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique et l&rsquo;Asie une fois l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique ferm\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0En simulant l&rsquo;\u00e9volution des plaques tectoniques de la Terre \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un superordinateur, nous avons pu montrer que dans moins de 300 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, c&rsquo;est probablement l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique qui se fermera, permettant la formation de l&rsquo;Amasie, ce qui d\u00e9mystifie certaines th\u00e9ories scientifiques ant\u00e9rieures.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique est ce qui reste du super oc\u00e9an Panthalassa, qui a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 se former il y a 700 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es lorsque le supercontinent pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 se disloquer. C&rsquo;est le plus vieil oc\u00e9an que nous ayons sur Terre, et il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9tr\u00e9cir de sa taille maximale depuis l&rsquo;\u00e9poque des dinosaures. Sa taille diminue actuellement de quelques centim\u00e8tres par an et sa dimension actuelle d&rsquo;environ 10 000 kilom\u00e8tres devrait mettre 200 \u00e0 300 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es \u00e0 se refermer.<\/p>\n<p>Le co-auteur de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, le professeur distingu\u00e9 John Curtin Zheng-Xiang Li, \u00e9galement de l&rsquo;\u00e9cole des sciences de la Terre et des plan\u00e8tes de Curtin, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le fait que le monde entier soit domin\u00e9 par une seule masse continentale modifierait radicalement l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me et l&rsquo;environnement de la Terre.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0La Terre telle que nous la connaissons sera radicalement diff\u00e9rente lorsque l&rsquo;Amasie se formera.
