Le Japon est l\u2019un des pays les plus d\u00e9pendants au monde des combustibles fossiles, et les scientifiques de ce pays cherchent \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une forme constante et stable d\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable \u00e0 l\u2019infini, qui ne d\u00e9pendrait ni du vent, ni du soleil. C\u2019est donc vers la haute mer et ses courants oc\u00e9aniques, tr\u00e8s puissants au Japon, que les scientifiques se tournent avec l\u2019espoir de produire une \u00ab \u00e9nergie verte sans fin \u00bb. Il y a quelques semaines, ils ont test\u00e9 une turbine g\u00e9ante d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e depuis 10 ans par le fabricant japonais IHI Corp. Cette turbine gigantesque devrait exploiter les courants oc\u00e9aniques profonds et les convertir en source d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Explications.<\/p>\n<p>Une turbine monstrueuse !<\/p>\n<p>Attention, les Japonais n\u2019ont pas fait dans la demi-mesure\u2026 La turbine qu\u2019ils ont con\u00e7ue ressemble \u00e0 un avion, avec deux \u00e9normes ventilateurs \u00e0 turbine contrarotatifs \u00e0 la place des jets. Le fuselage central, lui, abrite le syst\u00e8me de r\u00e9glage de la flottabilit\u00e9. Cette turbine g\u00e9ante porte le nom de Kairyu et p\u00e8se le joli poids de 330 tonnes\u2026 Elle est fabriqu\u00e9e pour \u00eatre install\u00e9e entre 30 et 50 m\u00e8tres dans les profondeurs sous-marines. Elle devrait aller prendre position dans le courant de Kuroshio, l\u2019un des plus puissants courants marins du monde situ\u00e9 sur la c\u00f4te Est du Japon. C\u2019est donc un v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9fi pour le Japon que d\u2019exploiter ce puissant courant marin.
