Malgr\u00e9 sa fin d&rsquo;exploitation annonc\u00e9e en 2018, Kepler, le t\u00e9lescope spatial de la Nasa, a laiss\u00e9 un important h\u00e9ritage aux scientifiques de l&rsquo;agence spatiale am\u00e9ricaine. Et parmi ces donn\u00e9es, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude des 2681 exoplan\u00e8tes observ\u00e9es durant ses neuf ann\u00e9es de services.<\/p>\n<p>Kepler-1649c fait partie de cette longue liste, et a particuli\u00e8rement attir\u00e9 l&rsquo;attention, pour ses similitudes avec la Terre. Comme le pr\u00e9cise CNN, cette ressemblance est due \u00e0 sa taille tout d&rsquo;abord, puisque l&rsquo;exoplan\u00e8te fait 1,06 fois la taille de notre plan\u00e8te. Puis, \u00e0 l&rsquo;image de la Terre, cette derni\u00e8re re\u00e7oit 75% de sa lumi\u00e8re de son soleil.<\/p>\n<p>De fait, les scientifiques estiment qu&rsquo;en surface, la temp\u00e9rature de Kepler-1649c pourrait \u00eatre similaire \u00e0 la notre.<\/p>\n<p>Cette exoplan\u00e8te est situ\u00e9e \u00e0 300 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de la Terre<\/p>\n<p>Malheureusement, pour l\u2019heure, nous ne savons que tr\u00e8s peu de choses concernant Kepler-1649c. Ses conditions atmosph\u00e9riques, notamment, restent inconnues. Cela signifie qu\u2019il est tout \u00e0 fait possible que, bien que dans la zone habitable, les conditions rendent la vie impossible. Cela \u00e9tant dit, Kepler-1649c reste \u00e0 300 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de la Terre. La naine rouge lui conf\u00e9rerait l\u2019\u00e9quivalent d\u2019environ 75% de rayons solaires que prodigue le Soleil \u00e0 notre plan\u00e8te. Cependant, rien n\u2019indique pour le moment qu\u2019elle poss\u00e8de une atmosph\u00e8re, autre condition parmi d\u2019autres \u00e0 l\u2019existence d\u2019une \u00e9ventuelle forme de vie. En outre, les astrophysiciens estiment d\u00e9j\u00e0 qu\u2019une ann\u00e9e sur Kepler-1649c correspondrait \u00e0 seulement 19,5 jours sur Terre. Pour rappel, ce n\u2019est pas la premi\u00e8re exoplan\u00e8te en zone habitable \u00e0 \u00eatre d\u00e9couverte \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une \u201cerreur\u201d. En janvier dernier, un groupe de chercheurs dont un lyc\u00e9en avait identifi\u00e9 TOI 700-d comme telle, pourtant initialement \u00e9cart\u00e9es suite aux premi\u00e8res mesures prises par le t\u00e9lescope spatiale TESS (pour \u201cTransiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Dans une \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e dans The Astrophysical Journal Letters, Thomas Zurbuchen, en charge de ces exp\u00e9ditions, se r\u00e9jouit de cette d\u00e9couverte.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Cela nous donne encore plus d&rsquo;espoir de trouver une seconde Terre au-del\u00e0 des \u00e9toiles, qui attendent d&rsquo;\u00eatre d\u00e9couvertes.
