D\u2019un point de vue astronomique, c\u2019est la porte \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Notre carnet d\u2019adresses cosmique se remplit de deux nouvelles figurantes. Une \u00e9quipe d\u2019astronomes de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de G\u00f6ttingen en Allemagne, et de l\u2019Instituto de Astrof\u00edsica de Canarias, annonce en effet avoir identifi\u00e9 de deux exoplan\u00e8tes autour de l\u2019\u00e9toile de Teegarden. L\u2019objet, plus petit et plus froid que le Soleil, \u00e9volue dans la constellation du B\u00e9lier, \u00e0 environ 12,5 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de la Terre. Les d\u00e9tails de l\u2019\u00e9tude sont publi\u00e9s dans la revue Astronomy &amp; Astrophysics.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abNous \u00e9tudions cette \u00e9toile depuis trois ans \u00e0 la recherche de variations p\u00e9riodiques de sa vitesse, explique Mathias Zechmeister, chercheur \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de G\u00f6ttingen et principal auteur de l\u2019\u00e9tude. Les observations ont montr\u00e9 que deux plan\u00e8tes lui gravitent autour. Et tout laisse \u00e0 penser qu\u2019elles ressemblent beaucoup aux plan\u00e8tes de la partie interne du syst\u00e8me solaire. Elles sont juste un peu plus grandes que la Terre et se situent dans la zone habitable de leur \u00e9toile\u00bb. Qu\u2019elles \u00e9voluent dans la zone habitable de leur \u00e9toile n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessairement le signe d\u00e9finitif qu\u2019il pourrait y avoir de la vie \u00e0 la surface.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Les astronomes, dans leur \u00e9tude, \u00e9voquent notamment le T\u00e9lescope g\u00e9ant europ\u00e9en (ELT), actuellement en cours de construction, qui devrait \u00eatre inaugur\u00e9 au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2025. Plac\u00e9 au nord du Chili, loin de toute pollution lumineuse, l\u2019instrument offrira un miroir de 39 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre.
