Cela en fait une esp\u00e8ce \u00ab\u00a0mosa\u00efque\u00a0\u00bb, ajoute-t-il.<\/p>\n<p>Il partage des traits avec un certain nombre d&rsquo;anciens parents humains; il a des os de pieds et de doigts incurv\u00e9s comme l\u2019australopith\u00e8que (un genre humain qui comprend la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Lucy); les pr\u00e9molaires ayant des caract\u00e9ristiques similaires \u00e0 celles observ\u00e9es chez les Australopith\u00e8ques , les Homo habilis et les Homo erectus ; et de petites molaires qui ressemblent \u00e0 celles de l&rsquo;homme moderne, ou de l&rsquo; Homo sapiens. Il est probable que cette nouvelle esp\u00e8ce avait un petit corps. En outre, les orteils et les doigts incurv\u00e9s sugg\u00e8rent que H. luzonensis \u00e9tait apte \u00e0 grimper aux arbres et \u00e0 marcher debout sur le sol. Certes, le genre Homo est devenu un bip\u00e9diste strict (c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire qu&rsquo;il marchait sur deux pieds) il y a environ 2 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, aussi \u00ab\u00a0nous ne pr\u00e9tendons certainement pas que H. luzonensis \u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0de retour dans les arbres\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 D\u00e9troit. Au contraire, il est possible que cette caract\u00e9ristique soit apparue parce que H. luzonensis vivait sur une \u00eele isol\u00e9e, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0Mais c&rsquo;est une question tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressante \u00e0 aborder\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 D\u00e9troit. \u00ab\u00a0S&rsquo;ils \u00e9taient bip\u00e8des strict comme tous les membres du genre Homo, de telles caract\u00e9ristiques primitives ont-elles influenc\u00e9 sur leur d\u00e9marche de bip\u00e9die ou pas? Deux des fossiles analys\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dat\u00e9s directement par la m\u00e9thode des s\u00e9ries de l&rsquo;uranium et sont \u00e2g\u00e9s respectivement de 50.000 ans et de 67.000 ans.
