Et pour cause, c&rsquo;est la plus grande centrale de ce type au monde. Elle vient d&rsquo;ailleurs de ravir ce titre \u00e0 la centrale solaire Shams 1 situ\u00e9e \u00e0 Abu Dhabi, aux \u00c9mirats arabes Unis.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">La centrale d&rsquo;Ivanpah produit \u00e0 elle seule 30% de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie solaire thermique des \u00c9tats-Unis. Dans un communiqu\u00e9 dat\u00e9 du 13 f\u00e9vrier, l&rsquo;entreprise am\u00e9ricaine BrightSource, co-constructeur de la centrale a annonc\u00e9 sa r\u00e9cente mise en service.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">RAYONS SOLAIRES. Comme vous pouvez le constater dans la vue satellite ci-dessus, la centrale est compos\u00e9e de trois unit\u00e9s charg\u00e9es de collecter les rayons solaires. Ces unit\u00e9s se composent chacune d&rsquo;une tour centrale de 140 m\u00e8tres de haut, autour de laquelle une myriade de miroirs sont dispos\u00e9s en cercles concentriques.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">L&rsquo;orientation de ces double-miroirs (au nombre de 173.500) est pilot\u00e9e par ordinateur de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 concentrer les faisceaux de chacun d&rsquo;entre eux vers cette tour centrale. La construction de cette centrale avait \u00e9t\u00e9 amorc\u00e9e en octobre 2010.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">OISEAUX \u00ab\u00a0GRILL\u00c9S\u00a0\u00bb. Toutefois, ce projet pharaonique a vivement \u00e9t\u00e9 critiqu\u00e9, \u00e0 la fois pour son co\u00fbt de 2,2 milliards de dollars (quatre fois sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui d&rsquo;une centrale au gaz qui produirait plus d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, rel\u00e8ve le Wall Street journal), mais aussi pour la place qu&rsquo;il occupe et le d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ment qu&rsquo;il cause \u00e0 la faune.
