L&rsquo;une des caract\u00e9ristiques les plus remarquables de l&rsquo;\u00e8re spatiale moderne est la mani\u00e8re dont les nouveaux participants entrent dans la m\u00eal\u00e9e. Outre les pr\u00e9tendants traditionnels &#8211; NASA et Roscosmos, la Chine est devenue un acteur majeur de l&rsquo;espace au cours des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies. Et en 2022, selon de r\u00e9centes d\u00e9clarations, l\u2019Inde rejoindra \u00e9galement ce club, qui deviendra le quatri\u00e8me pays \u00e0 envoyer une mission avec \u00e9quipage dans l\u2019espace.<\/p>\n<p>Lors d&rsquo;une r\u00e9union du cabinet indien qui s&rsquo;est tenue le vendredi 25 d\u00e9cembre 2018, le gouvernement indien a annonc\u00e9 que la premi\u00e8re mission de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipage de l&rsquo;Organisation de recherches spatiales indiennes (ISRO) consistera dans l&rsquo;envoi d&rsquo;une \u00e9quipe de trois astronautes en orbite. Le gouvernement a \u00e9galement annonc\u00e9 qu\u2019il avait approuv\u00e9 un budget de 1,4 milliard de dollars pour financer le d\u00e9veloppement de la technologie et de l\u2019infrastructure requises pour le programme.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9cision d\u2019envoyer des astronautes dans l\u2019espace a \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9e par le Premier ministre Narendra Modi le 15 ao\u00fbt 2018, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion des c\u00e9l\u00e9brations du Jour de l\u2019Ind\u00e9pendance de l\u2019Inde. \u00c0 ce moment-l\u00e0, Modi a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;ISRO de mener une mission orbitale avec \u00e9quipage d&rsquo;ici 2022, date qui co\u00efnciderait avec le 75e anniversaire de l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance de l&rsquo;Inde.<\/p>\n<p>Un mois plus tard, lors de la sixi\u00e8me \u00e9dition de la Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX 2018), l&rsquo;ISRO et son bras commercial ( Antrix Corporation Ltd ) ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 les combinaisons que les astronautes porteraient pour la mission. Le module d&rsquo;\u00e9vacuation de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipage qui emm\u00e8nera les astronautes dans l&rsquo;espace a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9. Mais avec cette derni\u00e8re d\u00e9claration, le gouvernement indien a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il tenait \u00e0 envoyer des astronautes dans l\u2019espace et \u00e0 renforcer sa comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 avec la Chine. La d\u00e9claration a \u00e9galement clairement indiqu\u00e9 que l\u2019Inde avait l\u2019intention de devenir un \u00ab\u00a0partenaire dans les futures explorations mondiales offrant des avantages nationaux \u00e0 long terme\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9claration indiquait \u00e9galement que la dur\u00e9e du vol en \u00e9quipage allait d&rsquo;une p\u00e9riode orbitale \u00e0 un maximum de sept jours. Avant le d\u00e9part des astronautes dans l&rsquo;espace, deux missions non pr\u00e9par\u00e9es seraient lanc\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide du lanceur de satellite g\u00e9osynchrone de l&rsquo;ISRO (GSLV Mk.
