La masse de cet \u00e9norme observatoire spatial est d&rsquo;environ 6 500 kg, son \u00e9cran solaire est de la taille d&rsquo;un court de tennis et son miroir primaire de 6,5 m\u00e8tres, compos\u00e9 de 18 panneaux hexagonaux, sera refroidi \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature de -233 degr\u00e9s Celsius (40 \u00b0Kelvin).
