Des physiciens chinois sont parvenus \u00e0 \u00e9tablir une \u00ab\u00a0t\u00e9l\u00e9portation quantique\u00a0\u00bb sur une distance de 1200 km, contre 100 km pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment. Ainsi, si l&rsquo;une des deux particules subit une modification, cela se verra imm\u00e9diatement sur la seconde, quelle que soit la distance qui les s\u00e9pare. L&rsquo;information transmise devient donc instantan\u00e9e et inviolable, puisqu&rsquo;elle ne peut \u00eatre intercept\u00e9e. Ensuite, ces photons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9s et capt\u00e9s dans deux stations au sol, \u00e0 1200 km de distance, dans les montagnes du Tibet. L&rsquo;altitude \u00e9lev\u00e9e a permis de r\u00e9duire la densit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;air \u00e0 travers lequel ces fragiles photons ont d\u00fb se d\u00e9placer.<\/p>\n<p>Des physiciens ont alors modifi\u00e9 la polarisation d&rsquo;une partie des photons et ont d\u00e9termin\u00e9 que leurs \u00ab\u00a0jumeaux\u00a0\u00bb situ\u00e9s \u00e0 plus de 1200 km avaient fait de m\u00eame dans plus d&rsquo;un millier de cas, soit bien plus fr\u00e9quemment que ce que le hasard pourrait expliquer. Une d\u00e9couverte qui a ainsi confirm\u00e9 la pr\u00e9servation des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s quantiques des photons sur une vaste distance. \u00ab\u00a0C&rsquo;est un \u00e9norme accomplissement\u00a0\u00bb, a jug\u00e9 Thomas Jennewein, un physicien \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Waterloo au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Une potentielle r\u00e9volution technologique<br \/>\nMais au-del\u00e0 de rendre les informations inviolables, les applications potentielles qui d\u00e9coulent de ces propri\u00e9t\u00e9s quantiques sont tr\u00e8s importantes.
