Elle p\u00e8se pr\u00e8s de 3 fois la Terre et les premiers \u00e9l\u00e9ments de recherche montrent qu\u2019il pourrait s\u2019agir d\u2019un monde rocheux abritant de l\u2019eau \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat liquide. Une plan\u00e8te qui pourrait potentiellement \u00eatre habitable.<\/p>\n<p>Les astronomes s\u2019int\u00e9ressent particuli\u00e8rement aux petites \u00e9toiles depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es. Et pour cause, ces corps c\u00e9lestes moins imposants que le Soleil sont pr\u00e9sents en grande quantit\u00e9 dans la Galaxie. C\u2019est le cas notamment des naines rouges. Elles sont d\u2019autant plus int\u00e9ressantes aux yeux des scientifiques que les petites plan\u00e8tes rocheuses semblent \u00eatre plus nombreuses autour d\u2019elles.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est en \u00e9tudiant l\u2019une de ces \u00e9toiles, Gliese 625 (GJ 625), que des chercheurs de l\u2019Institut d\u2019astrophysique des \u00eeles Canaries ont d\u00e9couvert une plan\u00e8te entrant dans la cat\u00e9gorie des super-terres. La nouvelle super-Terre fait environ 2,8 fois la masse de la Terre, soit beaucoup moins que l\u2019exoplan\u00e8te \u00ab habitable \u00bb d\u00e9couverte l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re par des scientifiques de l\u2019ESCO. Elle est situ\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 0,08 unit\u00e9s astronomiques (AU) de GJ 625, un positionnement qui le met dans la zone d\u2019habitabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9toile.<\/p>\n<p>Il s\u2019agit de la sixi\u00e8me super-terre la plus proche de notre syst\u00e8me solaire qui soit situ\u00e9e dans la zone d\u2019habitabilit\u00e9 de son \u00e9toile h\u00f4te.
