Non seulement il est dans le voisinage imm\u00e9diat de notre syst\u00e8me solaire (22 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re) mais il est aussi \u00e9tonnamment similaire. Il repr\u00e9sente donc un candidat de choix pour la recherche d&rsquo;exoplan\u00e8tes potentiellement habitables.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00ab\u00a0Nous savions, d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes ant\u00e9rieures, que l&rsquo;\u00e9toile [Gliese 667C] \u00e9tait entour\u00e9e de trois plan\u00e8tes, nous voulions donc v\u00e9rifier l&rsquo;\u00e9ventuelle existence d&rsquo;autres plan\u00e8tes\u00a0\u00bb, explique Mikko Tuomi de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 britannique de Hertfordshire. \u00ab\u00a0En ajoutant de nouvelles observations et en revisitant les donn\u00e9es existantes, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de confirmer l&rsquo;existence de ces trois corps et d&rsquo;en d\u00e9couvrir de nouveaux\u00a0\u00bb, ajoute-t-il.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00ab\u00a0DES SUPER-TERRES ROCHEUSES\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Au total, les astronomes ont donc identifi\u00e9 au moins cinq plan\u00e8tes, deux autres demandant encore \u00e0 \u00eatre confirm\u00e9es. Le syst\u00e8me serait notamment compos\u00e9 de trois \u00ab\u00a0super-Terres\u00a0\u00bb, plus massives que notre plan\u00e8te mais moins que les g\u00e9antes Uranus ou Neptune, et \u00ab\u00a0vraisemblablement rocheuses\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Elles occupent en outre la zone habitable de l&rsquo;\u00e9toile, une mince bande situ\u00e9e autour de l&rsquo;\u00e9toile et au sein de laquelle l&rsquo;eau est susceptible d&rsquo;\u00eatre pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat liquide si les conditions sont r\u00e9unies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Gliese 667c n&rsquo;est pas \u00e0 ses premi\u00e8res trouvailles. En effet, si on se penche sur les derni\u00e8res d\u00e9couvertes on s&rsquo;aper\u00e7oit que:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">a) beaucoup de plan\u00e8tes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvertes, pour la plupart des G\u00e9antes gazeuses, mais certaines petites et rocheuses (qui ressemblent donc \u00e0 Neptune).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">b) plus on d\u00e9couvre de plan\u00e8tes, plus on s&rsquo;approche, statistiquement, de la d\u00e9couverte de celle qui pourrait \u00eatre habit\u00e9e.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Une fois ces donn\u00e9es \u00e9tablies, on peut les analyser de diff\u00e9rentes fa\u00e7ons, et en tirer diff\u00e9rentes conclusions. Si on suit la longue tra\u00eene des statistiques, les probabilit\u00e9s de d\u00e9couvrir une plan\u00e8te semblable \u00e0 la Terre d&rsquo;ici 2013 sont de 66%, et de 75% d&rsquo;ici 2020. Mais la date m\u00e9diane de d\u00e9couverte du jumeau terrestre est bien plus proche.
