Elle va permettre d&rsquo;alimenter plus de 150.000 foyers en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;Inde croit au solaire. Au terme de huit mois de travaux, les autorit\u00e9s du pays viennent de mettre en service la centrale solaire de Kamuthi. Une installation hors norme, situ\u00e9e dans le sud-est du pays. Au c\u0153ur de l\u2019\u00e9tat de Tamil Nadu, quelque 2,5 millions de panneaux solaires, reli\u00e9s par l&rsquo;\u00e9quivalent de 7.500 kilom\u00e8tres de c\u00e2bles, s&rsquo;\u00e9talent sur une superficie de 10 kilom\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Disposant d&rsquo;une puissance de 648 m\u00e9gawatts, cette ferme a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue par Adani Power, une filiale du conglom\u00e9rat indien Adani sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie et la logistique (gestion d&rsquo;infrastructures portuaires). Un palmar\u00e8s jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent domin\u00e9 par \u00ab\u00a0Topaz Farm\u00a0\u00bb, une installation de 550 m\u00e9gawatts situ\u00e9e en Californie (\u00c9tats-Unis) dont la construction a dur\u00e9 trois ans.<\/p>\n<p>La mise en service de cette installation fait d\u00e9sormais de l&rsquo;Inde le troisi\u00e8me march\u00e9 du solaire, derri\u00e8re la Chine et les \u00c9tats-Unis. Mais le pays ne compte pas s&rsquo;arr\u00eater l\u00e0. Fin 2015, \u00e0 l&rsquo;occasion de la COP21 \u00e0 Paris, l&rsquo;Inde a annonc\u00e9 vouloir fournir \u00e0 60 millions de foyers d&rsquo;ici \u00e0 2022 de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 propre, issue de cette source d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie renouvelable.
