Il est situ\u00e9 autour de l&rsquo;une des 150 000 \u00e9toiles surveill\u00e9es par le satellite de la Nasa Kepler. En tout, cinq plan\u00e8tes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvertes autour de l&rsquo;\u00e9toile Kepler 62.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">   <br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Or, les deux plan\u00e8tes les plus externes, Kepler 62e et Kepler 62f, qui ont des p\u00e9riodes de r\u00e9volution de 122 et 267 jours, sont dans la zone habitable de leur \u00e9toile. Autrement dit, elles se trouvent chacune sur une orbite o\u00f9 il ne fait ni trop chaud, ni trop froid, ce qui peut \u00e9ventuellement permettre l&rsquo;existence d&rsquo;eau sous forme liquide. Or cette condition est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme n\u00e9cessaire pour le d\u00e9veloppement de la vie.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Les deux plan\u00e8tes tournent plus vite que la Terre autour du Soleil certes, mais leur \u00e9toile est moins chaude que la n\u00f4tre. Cela signifie qu&rsquo;elle peut avoir de l&rsquo;eau liquide \u00e0 sa surface, mais ce n&rsquo;est pas une certitude. Kepler 62e re\u00e7oit l&rsquo;\u00e9quivalent de 1,2 fois le flux solaire re\u00e7u par la Terre, et Kepler 62f 0,4 fois.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">En fait, la pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;eau d\u00e9pend de la densit\u00e9 de la plan\u00e8te et de la composition de son atmosph\u00e8re. H\u00e9las, ces deux param\u00e8tres sont encore inconnus. Cependant, les plan\u00e8tes concern\u00e9es, trop peu massives, ont un effet ind\u00e9tectable avec les moyens actuels. Et leur \u00e9loignement (850 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re) ne permet pas non plus de caract\u00e9riser leur atmosph\u00e8re.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">60 exoplan\u00e8tes d\u00e9couvertes par Kepler<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Fin 2011, la Nasa avait confirm\u00e9 la d\u00e9couverte de la premi\u00e8re exoplan\u00e8te dans la zone habitable d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me stellaire baptis\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Kepler 22b\u00a0\u00bb, en orbite autour d&rsquo;une \u00e9toile (Kepler 22) situ\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 600 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de la Terre, une ann\u00e9e-lumi\u00e8re correspondant \u00e0 9\u2009460 milliards de kilom\u00e8tres. Kepler a jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent d\u00e9tect\u00e9 et confirm\u00e9 la d\u00e9couverte de plus de 60 exoplan\u00e8tes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Seti<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Depuis la d\u00e9couverte de la premi\u00e8re plan\u00e8te autour de Kepler 62 ce syst\u00e8me a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur \u00e9coute par le programme Seti, en d\u00e9cembre 2011, dans l&rsquo;espoir de trouver un improbable signal radio extraterrestre. Les chercheurs utilisent pour cela le r\u00e9seau de radiot\u00e9lescopes Allen en Californie.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Un reportage lui est consacr\u00e9 dans le num\u00e9ro d&rsquo;avril de Ciel et Espace actuellement en kiosques. Pour le moment 11% des fr\u00e9quences entre 1 et 10 Giga Hertz ont \u00e9t\u00e9 scann\u00e9es&#8230; sans r\u00e9sultat.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Les probabilit\u00e9s d&rsquo;une d\u00e9tection sont faibles.
