Les suppositions sur l&rsquo;existence d&rsquo;au moins une plan\u00e8te pr\u00e8s de Proxima Centauri sont apparues d\u00e8s 1998, et m\u00eame si \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque elles n&rsquo;ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9es, par la suite de nouveaux t\u00e9moignages sont arriv\u00e9s. Selon les estimations des astronomes, sa masse est de 1,3 fois la masse de notre plan\u00e8te et elle se situe \u00e0 sept millions de kilom\u00e8tres de l&rsquo;\u00e9toile. Ce n&rsquo;est m\u00eame pas 5% de la distance moyenne entre la Terre et le Soleil, mais en tenant compte de la faible luminosit\u00e9 de Proxima Centauri, cela tombe bien. L&rsquo;homme d&rsquo;affaires russe Iouri Milner et le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre physicien Stephen Hawking ont annonc\u00e9 le d\u00e9part de ce projet le 12 avril \u00e0 New York. On suppose que ce \u00ab\u00a0semi-satellite\u00a0\u00bb pourra atteindre l&rsquo;\u00e9toile en 20 \u00e0 30 ans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si ce projet r\u00e9ussit, le satellite ne sera pas envoy\u00e9 que vers de simples \u00e9toiles.
