Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne rare sera visible dans la partie du monde o\u00f9 il fera jour \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, notamment en France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">D\u00e8s 13h10. Pendant plusieurs heures, les amateurs pourront ainsi suivre le trajet de Mercure, qui appara\u00eetra comme un tout petit disque noir se d\u00e9pla\u00e7ant devant l&rsquo;astre solaire. Il faudra cependant \u00eatre \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&rsquo;instruments astronomiques pour d\u00e9couvrir ce spectacle. Le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne d\u00e9butera vers 13h10 en France et prendra fin vers 20h40.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visuellement, \u00ab\u00a0Mercure donnera l&rsquo;impression de grignoter l&rsquo;un des bords du Soleil puis il le traversera tr\u00e8s lentement avant de ressortir de l&rsquo;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, explique Pascal Descamps, astronome \u00e0 l&rsquo;Observatoire de Paris. Encore peu explor\u00e9e, la myst\u00e9rieuse Mercure est la plan\u00e8te la plus proche du Soleil et se trouve \u00e0 une distance moyenne de 58 millions de kilom\u00e8tres de lui. Toute petite (son diam\u00e8tre est de 4.780 km seulement), elle fait le tour du Soleil en 88 jours. Elle passe tous les 116 jours entre la Terre et notre \u00e9toile. Mais du fait de l&rsquo;inclinaison de son orbite autour de l&rsquo;astre par rapport \u00e0 l&rsquo;orbite de la Terre, elle nous para\u00eet la plupart du temps se trouver au-dessus ou en dessous du Soleil. De ce fait, les transits de Mercure devant le Soleil sont peu fr\u00e9quents : il y en a 13 ou 14 par si\u00e8cle. Le dernier s&rsquo;est produit il y a dix ans. Les prochains seront en novembre 2019, en novembre 2032 et en mai 2049.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Attention aux yeux. Pour admirer le transit de Mercure, il est important de respecter les consignes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Regarder le Soleil directement sans protection peut en effet provoquer des l\u00e9sions oculaires irr\u00e9m\u00e9diables. Oubliez les lunettes sp\u00e9ciales pour les \u00e9clipses solaires car elles ne vous permettront pas de voir la plan\u00e8te, trop petite. Les astronomes amateurs pourront utiliser lunettes et t\u00e9lescopes \u00e0 condition de les prot\u00e9ger par des filtres solaires appropri\u00e9s. Selon Pascal Descamps, \u00ab\u00a0le moyen le plus simple pour voir Mercure sans risque sera d&rsquo;utiliser un solarscope\u00a0\u00bb, sorte de bo\u00eete cartonn\u00e9e munie d&rsquo;un objectif avec une lentille, coupl\u00e9 avec un petit miroir convexe.
