C\u2019est du moins l&rsquo;incroyable pari sur l&rsquo;avenir pens\u00e9 et \u00e9tudi\u00e9 par des scientifiques. Manger de la viande sans tuer un seul animal est un doux r\u00eave qui semble enfin se pr\u00e9ciser.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nous nous sommes tous interrog\u00e9s au moins une fois sans pour autant franchir le cap. \u00ab Dois-je devenir v\u00e9g\u00e9tarien ? Dois-je continuer \u00e0 manger de la viande ? \u00bb Autant de questions qui nous tiraillent, sans savoir que faire, que ce soit pour des questions de sant\u00e9 ou bien si vous vous opposez fermement aux conditions d\u2019abattage des animaux.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mais il y a peut-\u00eatre de l\u2019espoir, et une alternative fabuleuse qui se profile \u00e0 l\u2019horizon. En effet, une \u00e9quipe de chercheurs issus de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Minnesota (\u00c9tats-Unis) a r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une technique afin de produire de la viande sans tuer un seul animal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quel est le secret ? Afin de fournir une alternative \u00e0 l\u2019abattage industriel \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle des animaux, le Docteur Uma Valeti s&rsquo;est lanc\u00e9 un d\u00e9fi, celui de pr\u00e9lever des cellules animales pouvant se r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer (de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on que les cellules musculaires). \u00c0 cela, il ajoute des \u00e9l\u00e9ments nutritifs et de l&rsquo;eau et met le tout dans un bior\u00e9acteur pendant une dur\u00e9e de 9 \u00e0 21 jours. Apr\u00e8s, la viande cultiv\u00e9e est pr\u00eate \u00e0 \u00eatre mang\u00e9e. Le projet serait \u00e9galement une valeur positive pour l\u2019environnement, car l\u2019\u00e9levage industriel serait \u00e0 l\u2019origine des \u00e9missions de dioxyde de carbone et de m\u00e9thane, un gaz \u00e0 effet de serre puissant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le m\u00e9decin est aussi PDG de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Memphis Meats, une entreprise bas\u00e9e \u00e0 San Francisco et esp\u00e8re fortement que ses efforts porteront un jour leurs fruits et que le produit sera commercialis\u00e9 d\u2019ici quatre ans avec une ligne de production de viande de b\u0153uf, de porc, de poulet, le tout sans tuer un seul animal. D\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019United Nations\u2019 Food and Agriculture Organization, pr\u00e8s de 56 milliards d\u2019animaux sont \u00e9lev\u00e9s et abattus pour la consommation humaine chaque ann\u00e9e dans le monde, et ce nombre devrait doubler d\u2019ici 2050.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On ne sait pas ce que le projet va donner dans quelques ann\u00e9es, mais une chose est s\u00fbre, \u00e7a a le m\u00e9rite de faire cogiter !
