Elle est situ\u00e9e \u00e0 14 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8res. C\u2019est environ \u00e0 126 trillions de kilom\u00e8tres de la Terre. Cela parait tr\u00e8s loin, mais la plan\u00e8te Mars est \u00e0 249 millions de kilom\u00e8tres et 14 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8res ne semblent pas si lointaines que \u00e7a sous cette perspective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Baptis\u00e9e Wolf 1061c, la nouvelle plan\u00e8te est situ\u00e9e dans la constellation Ophiucus et son \u00e9toile est la 35e la plus proche de la Terre. La plan\u00e8te Wolf 1061c orbite autour d\u2019une \u00e9toile naine de type M qui s\u2019appelle Wolf 1061. Le syst\u00e8me poss\u00e8de 2 autres plan\u00e8tes. Et les scientifiques estiment que les 3 plan\u00e8tes sont des plan\u00e8tes rocheuses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C\u2019est particuli\u00e8rement excitant, car les 3 plan\u00e8tes ont une masse suffisamment faible pour \u00eatre des rocheuses et qu\u2019elles pourraient avoir une surface solide selon Duncan Wright, principal auteur de l\u2019\u00e9tude et astronome \u00e0 l\u2019University of New South Wales (UNSW). La plan\u00e8te moyenne, Wolf 1061c, se trouve dans une zone habitable o\u00f9 il est possible d\u2019avoir de l\u2019eau et m\u00eame de la vie.<br \/>\nSur les 2 plan\u00e8tes, celle qui est la plus proche de l\u2019\u00e9toile Wolf 1061 serait trop chaude pour la vie et la plus \u00e9loign\u00e9e serait trop froide. Mais la plan\u00e8te au milieu pourrait \u00eatre potentiellement habitable. Mais cela ne signifie pas que Wolf 1061c soit similaire \u00e0 la Terre. Elle poss\u00e8de une masse qui est 4,3 fois sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la Terre et elle tourne autour de son \u00e9toile dans une orbite de 18 jours avec une distance qui est 10 % de celle de l\u2019orbite de la Terre autour du soleil. Si on mettait Wolf 1061c dans notre syst\u00e8me solaire, elle serait trop chaude pour avoir de la vie. Mais l\u2019\u00e9toile naine de Wolf 1061c est beaucoup plus froide avec des temp\u00e9ratures de surface autour de 3 300 Kelvins. La plupart des naines rouges sont tr\u00e8s actives et cela provoque des sursauts de rayons X et des \u00e9ruptions gigantesques. Cela signifie que la plan\u00e8te pr\u00e9sente toujours la m\u00eame face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9toile comme dans le cas de la Lune et de la Terre. Cela change les circonstances sur la surface de la plan\u00e8te selon le Sydney Morning Herald. Pour d\u00e9couvrir Wolf 1061c, les astronomes ont utilis\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es du spectrographe HARPS provenant du t\u00e9lescope de 3,6 m\u00e8tres de l\u2019Observatoire europ\u00e9en Austral situ\u00e9 au Chili. Ils ont appliqu\u00e9 les m\u00e9thodes de vitesses radiales (spectroscopie Doppler) pour identifier les plan\u00e8tes en d\u00e9tectant les changements provoqu\u00e9s par des plan\u00e8tes qui orbitent autour d\u2019une \u00e9toile.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_87Rt0-P1Ao?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=fr-FR&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019\u00e9quipe va continuer \u00e0 analyser le trio de plan\u00e8tes de Wolf 1061. Ces plan\u00e8tes vont forc\u00e9ment passer en face de leur \u00e9toile gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur proximit\u00e9 selon Rob Wittenmyer qui est l\u2019un des membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe. Et si c\u2019est le cas, alors on pourra \u00e9tudier l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re de Wolf 1061c et des autres plan\u00e8tes pour confirmer ou non si elle est habitable.
